Bear Hunting
Years ago when the lodge was operating at its peak, 65 bait sites were maintained with a 98% success rate for black bears. ECO Mer Bleue offers both spring and fall bear hunts and will accept a limited number of 40 hunters during both seasons combined. Depending on bookings, we will be maintaining a minimum of 2-3 bait sites per hunter located both within the exclusive territory as well as on the surrounding crown lands. This area has not been hunted for several years ensuring both numbers and large mature bruins!
In the spring, we offer a unique Eastern Ontario Wild Turkey hunt/Quebec spring bear hunting package! Where else can you shoot your wild turkey in the morning and be sitting in your black bear stand that afternoon?
Of course fishing is also included in our bear hunting packages.
